Spoon River Speedway or Peoria Speedway (Under new Management)?
Question for you Illinois folks that have been to both tracks.
Looking for a new track to attend and I seen both tracks are opening in Saturday, June 13th.
I was at 34 Raceway last Saturday for the 1st time for the USAC Show. Nice facility in West Burlington, IA.
What track is better Spoon River Speedway or Peoria Speedway?
I understand that Peoria is under new management. Spoon is good but their show can drag out.
Saturday, June 13th
Peoria - Late Models $1,500 to win & Modifieds $15,00 to win plus Street Stocks, B-Mods, & Hornets
Spoon - Modifieds $2064 to win, UMP Pro Late Models. B-Mods / E-Mods, & Hornets

If you’re into them you will see a nice bunch of modifieds for the Gary Cook Jr memorial race at Spoon River, their website says it’s 1564 to win for the mods. If it’s super late models your wanting to see then go to Peoria.

JayD - If I thought Peoria would get a full field of late models & Mods that's where I would go. Right now I'm unsure.
I seen on Facebook Ledford will be there at Peoria in his late model.
Thanks for the reply.

I forgot about that scenario, I would look for a few Fairbury late models to show up at Peoria so that could be the place to be.

I'd tip the scales in Peoria's favor this weekend. I don't think anyone else in Illinois is running Supers, and for $1500 to win, I'd expect a higher than normal car count. That is, if MLRA in Missouri and Iowa doesn't take too many cars away.
Opinions are my own. Twitter.com/ShinySideUp18

I don’t go there very often but I do know since Plummer was bought out the remaining owners are making many changes all good.

The modifieds @ Spoon will put on a great show. Worth the trip.

Now the question is:
Are you going to boycott Tri-City since they "tattled" on Brownstown?

I think it was the other way around....

The way it was explained as I saw last night from KG on Facebook is the Peoria track owner emailed their mayor asking for permission to race, using Tri-City as an example of a track that is opening. The mayor took then forwarded that info and it went up the chain to the governor.

Nothing wrong with doing that, like I said before Tri City were idiots for even trying to race when they knew they would be shut down. Again Tammy please shut up, you look more foolish every time you do one of your stupid self serving videos.
