ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division will see nine races in four different states on the Week 2 schedule of events. There will be one race tonight, one race on Friday night, and seven races on Saturday night.

North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL will open Week 2 action for the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman Division with its first of two Week 2 races scheduled for tonight. NAS will host its second Late Model Sportsman on Saturday night. Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL will present the Late Model Sportsman Division on Friday night.

Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will also present Saturday night Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman Division races.

Five drivers share the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National point lead after posting 50-point victories in Week 1 competition. Brett White of Kosciusko, MS, Ryan King of Anniston, AL, Russ Brasel of Mooreville, MS, Sam Ramsey of Montevallo, AL, and Ty Lowe are on top of the Late Model Sportsman National points list going into Week 2 competition.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.
