ADAIRSVILLE, GA – At the end of Week 2 for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman Weekly Racing Series there were three drivers tied for the National point lead. Ryan King of Anniston, AL, Brett White of Kosciusko, MS, and Russ Brasel all drove to 50-point wins over the weekend, and all three drivers top the standings with 100 points.

King opened Week 2 action by driving the David King Automotive Special to victory on Thursday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. White took the win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS driving the Attala Steel Rocket. Brasel was the Saturday night winner at North Alabama Speedway.

Morgen Lambert of Booneville, MS is fourth in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National standings with 97 points, and Tony Chaney of Tuscumbia, AL is fifth with 96 points. Blake Ray of Russellville, AL has the sixth spot with 95 points, and Tody Ratcliff of Meridian, MS is seventh with 94 points.

Steve Pate and Zack Owens are tied for the eighth spot in the Late Model Sportsman National standings with 93 points apiece. Trace Armstrong of Hayden, AL and Levi Aldridge of Double Springs, AL are tied for the tenth position.

Mike Lane of Milton, FL took the win on Friday night at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL and other Saturday night winners were J.C. Wilson of Milton, FL at Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL, Dakota Berry of Huntingdon, TN at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, and Buddy George of Ragland, AL at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Also winning Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman Week 2 Saturday night races were Chase Williams of Star, MS at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS and Colton Roberts at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN. Complete results of Week 2 action are listed before.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1.
