Default Things to do around Talladega

My brother and myself are taking my dad to our first trip to TST for the Lucas Oil Race in a couple of weeks, were going to try to make a day of it, does anyone have any recommendations for things to do nearby or between North Georgia and there? I know theres the museum across the road at the Hall of Fame (Which we haven't been to in probably 15-20 years) but is there anything else, specifically like flea markets, cool roadside stops, etc for a race fan?

    Thanks in advance!

A lot of good mountain biking around that area. You have the barber Motorsports park and museum down the road (place is a Taj Majal of motorcycle museums). You have parks and recreation areas around the mountains.

Lived in northeast Alabama all my life and wish I could help you out but there’s nothing too exciting to do or see. Mark your seats, drive up to oxford for a good meal, then head back. That’s my plan.

A Zax snack with sweet tea (drink comes with meal and a refill for the road) with extra season on the fries makes the drive good....

I hadn't thought of that, I played a music gig over there several years ago, may have to stop by!
