ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Six races over three days highlight Week 3 for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division. The Weekly Racing Series action for the “Mod Squad” begins tonight at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS. Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will host its first of two Week 3 Modified Sportsman races on Friday night.

There will be four choices for Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division competitors and fans on Saturday night. Races will be held at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL, North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL, and Talladega Short Track.

The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL and Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL are tied for the National point lead with 99 points apiece. Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is third with 97 points, and Tracy Terrell is fourth with 96 points. Ron Bailey of Harvest, AL rounds out the top five with 94 points.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count their best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.
