Default 9 divisions start at 7 pm

Now if you are going to a track to see a regional series race and track has a total of 9 divisions running and they don’t start hot laps till 7 ? Is this going to be a 3 am ending to your night? I’m ok with it but regional series feature should be done early or lower divisions should be on track by 5 pm. Explain all this to me? What am I missing?

The problem starts with qualify then set top half of features and rest set by non qualifier races. Headline division is what I paid to see race not qualify. This format gives tracks time to add more divisions

Make racing great again, make heat races matter!!!

That sounds like a good plan. I can’t see why they won’t just start earlier as well 5pm for example.

Don't start before 7 on dirt. It will just get drier and drier until all is done. The answer is less qualifying and less classes. 4 is plenty. Sounds like you are describing Friendship.

First of all if it's 9 classes count me out. What you are seeing is a promoter who is trying to put as many different classes together to make up for the missed races due to Covid-19. If this works for them, plan on this becoming a staple in the future. I see some of these advertised and I just shake my head and wonder who in the hell would sit through 7,8 or 9 classes of racing in one night/early morning. Certainly not me.

These tracks run the series late in order to keep you there. Notice that they are on the PA trying to sell food. It is about draining your wallet.

They don't know how to 3 classes an have as many cars as 9 classes and they don't realise they are running there crowd off nobody wants to sit at the race track 6 7 or 8 hours.

The Mag is up there with EAMS for long, dragged out shows. Is there a high concentration of carbon monoxide in the south or something?
