Rod and R.J. Conley Claim Top Fives Last Weekend; All Out Assault on Atomic

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley and his #71r team were busy on June 12-13 with stops at Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, West Virginia and Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio. On Friday night in a $1,500 to win show for the Super Late Models at Ohio Valley, Rod started from the pole position and eventually wound up a solid fourth in the final finishing order behind only race winner Tyler Carpenter, Ryan Montgomery, and Tyler Evans. At Moler on Saturday evening, a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs in an unsanctioned showdown. "Hot Rod" placed fourth in his heat race during preliminary action before being paid for a thirteenth place effort in the 40-lapper.

R.J. and J.T. Conley both joined Rod on Saturday at Moler Raceway Park. R.J. finished third in his loaded heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the fourth row in the A-Main. The Wheelersburg, Ohio hotshoe then drove up inside of the top five to record a fifth place performance behind only victor Josh Rice, Devin Gilpin, Tyler Carpenter, and Zack Dohm. J.T. unfortunately broke an axle tube during his heat race and was forced to scratch from the remainder of the program. Complete results from both weekend races for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams can be viewed on the Ohio Valley Speedway Facebook page and www.thenewmrp.com.

With the patriarch of the racing Conley family – Delmas Conley – scheduled to lift the lid to his 2020 campaign this Saturday evening, June 20, all four CMI drivers are slated to make an all-out assault on Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. The track’s season opener will be headlined by the ground pounding Super Late Models and Delmas, Rod, R.J., and J.T. Conley will all vie for the $3,000 winner’s check.
