ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series will make its first-ever visit to Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, TN this Saturday night for Round 4 of the 2020 National Touring season. The $3,000-to-win $300-to-start main event will run for 50-laps around the newly renovated ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.

The top drivers from six different states are ready to do battle, led by the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series National point leader Cody Overton of Grovetown, GA. Overton also leads the Cruise With The Champions Rookie of the Year point standings, and he has one win this season.

Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL is second in the national points chase with one win this season. Skinner is in his Sophomore season with the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Tour and was the 2019 Cruise With The Champions Rookie of the Year after finishing second overall in series points. Skinner is also a former VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series Champion.

Parker Martin of Milledgeville, GA is third in the National point standings, and the 15-year-old driver leads the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series point standings. The VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series has a separate point fund for drivers 18 years of age and younger.

Wil Herrington of Hawkinsville, GA is fourth in the National standings and has one win this season. Jody Knowles of Tyrone, GA is fifth in the points chase with a pair of top five finishes. The sixth through tenth-place drivers in National points also expected this Saturday night are Corey Dunn of Milledgeville, GA, T.J. Brittain of Centre, AL, Trynt Lloyd of Jacksonville, FL, Marcus Minga of Shannon, MS, and Troy Dixon of Dallas, GA.

Other Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA regulars expected are Ryan Boudreaux of Harvey, LA and Ahnna Parkhurst of Evans, GA. Other travelers expected to make the trip to Mountain View Raceway this Saturday night are Jason Markewitz of Killen, AL, Ashley Newman of Ripley, TN, along with the father-son team of Ronnie Cooper and Matt Cooper of McKenzie, TN, and Jake Rainey of Hiram, GA.

The Pit Gate at Mountain View Raceway opens at 5 p.m. with Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:45 p.m. and on track action is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
