ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 4 of the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model season will see ten races in four different states on the schedule of events. The defending National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS and Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS are tied for the lead in the National standings with 149 points apiece.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 4 action begins with the lone on Friday night event at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. The remaining 11 races will all be contested on Saturday night.

There will be a pair of $1,000-to-win Late Model races on Saturday night, and they will be at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL and at Super Bowl Speedway in Greenville, TX as a part of the Local DFW Late Model Series. Also in action on Saturday night will be Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

The 2019 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman National Champion Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL is tied with Shannon Davis for the third spot in the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model National standings with 148 points apiece. Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN is fifth with 147 points.

The 2014 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock National Champion Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is tied with Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL for the sixth spot in the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model National standings with 145 points apiece. Scott Ladner and Matthew Brocato of Muscle Shoals, AL are tied for the eighth spot with 142 points apiece and Tootie Arnold of Meadville, MS rounds out the top ten with 139 points.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.
