Ray Cook Transfers into Outlaws Finale at Bulls Gap; Heads Back to Volunteer July 4

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) After promoting an event at his hometown Tri-County Race Track last Friday night, Ray Cook grabbed his helmet bag and loaded up to invade Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday evening, June 20 with his #53 machine. The second and final night of the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader boasted a $10,000 payday.

Ray clicked off the twelfth fastest time in Group B during qualifying before finishing fifth in his stacked heat race. The Brasstown, North Carolina standout then grabbed the fourth transfer spot through the B-Main and later rolled off from the outside of the tenth row in the 50-lap main event. Ray then stayed on the lead lap on the ultra-fast racing surface and eventually moved up three positions to leave "The Gap" with a seventeenth place effort.
