They basically have three cars running the same national tour with only one team having a backup. Frankly, it sounds as though they were extremely unprepared even with the sponsorship dollars rolling in and time off during the plandemic. I'm sure Madden knows he can do better elsewhere or on his own. You combine Bloomer with Sommer and you get Barnum and Bailey. Madden probably grew tired of being the elephant in the cage.

Weiss shares a shop with McDowell, and McDowell has been running Ray Cook’s stuff with a droop rule.

Exactly the point, they came unprepared. They have 1 car a piece, what was going on during the 2-3 month lay off from Coronavirus? Not building anything? No testing? You can't be unprepared against the most prepared late model team of all time. I don't want to hear the excuses. Excuses are for losers.

Madden had the best car in the country. It's facts. Now what has happened since is inexcusable.

Rocket was closed during the lay off and not building anything. Only thing open was thier parts department. And I don't think anyone was testing either.

I'm not disagreeing but that's not my point. I'm not denying Madden had the best or second best car in that stretch of August last season. Droop rule or no droop rule, the point is this, to beat the Blue1, you have to beat them all season long, not just a month long stretch. You can't quit when you get down. You can't be unprepared. You can't be late to races even though it looks like Cody has helped in that department thus far. I would have put money on rocket1 with no rule changes.

You don't think Mark was in his own shop?

I don't disagree on the betting line. However, Madden would have opened the year much better and at least applied some pressure. When your team is a trainwreck, a points title is hard without massive performance.

Exactly the point I was making. Good civil debate.

Probably here and there. But the work that normally gets done wasn't getting done.

Bloomquist is a LEGEND driver and darn good at building cars, but he doesn't have the business accumen, doesn't pay his people enough, and shouldn't have anything to do with running a business. He doesn't run a professional organization or business which is why they hired Cody but I think we are seeing that Bloomer listens to nobody, and I don't think Madden could take it anymore, even with the Drydene sponsorship.

. I think this is true. Bloomer is better at doin his own thing on his own (for better or worse). Madden is still young and has a great future ahead of him.

They did not hire Cody. Cody bought 30% of Scott Bloomquist rRacing because Scott was broke. The same reason the Soveneir business was sold to Gerald at Arizona Sports Shirts. Cash was needed to pay the bills. Crown Royal & Casino’s are bad on the $$$. Cody is trying to run it as a business - much different than bloomer has. Some things are better- some are much worse.Sumner did get rid of Mallory which was a good move - but they have not been able to duplicate his knowledge and work ethic. People don’t work for peanuts anymore. Over the years -too many bridges have been burned and a lot can’t be built back. This is nowhere near the first Scott/madden break-up.
Go back since the beginning with bloomer- there has only been 1 thing consistent about his operation as far as the team goes- and that is he was winning races often. Nothing else remained the same for very long- and there are reasons for that - it’s not rocket science.

If Madden does not have problems with his distributor at Eldora then he starts on the pole of the stream. If he wins that 50k race is he still leaving the team?
