ADAIRSVILLE, GA – When Week 4 action in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division was complete, the National standings showed a tie for the lead between the 2018 National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS and Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS.

Idom came home with a fifth-place finish on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS in the Tri-State Rock and Rails Special and Kilgore drove the Lee’s Body Shop Special to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS. Idom and Kilgore have 196 points apiece.

Lee Ray of Columbus, MS closed in on the lead duo after winning on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS driving the Ray Racing Special. The victory brought Ray up to the third spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock National standings with 194 points.

Billy Walker is in the fourth spot with 192 points and Landen Jackson of Norco, LA is fifth with 187 points. Mark Thorne is sixth with 185 points and Dannon LaCoste is seventh with 184 points. Michael Rodrigue is eighth with 183 points and Caiden Jackson is ninth with 180 points. J.R. Brown rounds out the top ten in the Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock standings with 173 points.

Other Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Week 4 winners on Saturday night were Tuck Trenthan of Pierson, FL at All Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL and Gary Tucker of Fayetteville, TN in the Starz Auto Sales Special powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN.

Jamie Rochell was the winner on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS and Rocky Gasque took the Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock victory at Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, SC. Ronnie Lee Newsome drove to a 40-point win at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA and Tim Dillon of Franklinton, LA was the winner at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS driving the Dillon Racing Special.

Austin Moye of Jay, FL drove the Moye’s Flooring, Fencing and More Special to the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock win at Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL. Friday night Week 4 action at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS was rained out, while Mother Nature also washed out Saturday night action at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, and Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.
