They should quit with suspense and just go ahead and postpone the world until next year. It'll give other tracks a chance to step up and pay some cash. Eldora just posted last week that Tony is onboard with whatever governor DeWine says. That tells me we won't be seeing it happen this year.

Not surprised by the truck race. They need full stands to pull it off. Same reason other big events are being cancelled.

I suspect the World 100 will be scrapped in favor of another PPV event.

Eldora doesn't get nearly as much TV money because they don't host the Cup series. The non Cup tracks rely on the front gate. Cup can run without fans because TV pays the bills.

So, forgive me if I have missed this topic/question on another thread...

Why can Portsmouth and Muskingum hold Lucas Oil events with fans and at full capacity, but Eldora can't, when they're in the same state?

Tony's got some pretty major sponsors backing Eldora, especially the truck race. Just take one instance of a covid outbreak from one of his events to cause the dominos to start falling on those sponsors backing out.

Eldora is considered a “large” venue by Ohio Health Department.

Apples to oranges. Eldora is similar to a sports venue that holds over 20,000.

I remember Tony Stewart calling DEI a museum after Jr left for Hendrick. Who has the New museum now?

I mean they ran a $50k race without fans but like Matt Curl said about the PDC. If he can't have full capacity then it's not going to happen. That's the ultimate goal. But if your labeled a large venue there's not much they can do. Thier hands are tied. Even after submitting plans for reduced capacity like they tried for the King's Royal it was still shot down.

Noosecar could have had the cup cars come without fans and they would of gotten some tv ratings. Another mistake on their part.

Move all those big races down south where PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO PUT ON A RACE AND WATCH A RACE. or to Wisconsin where they want Racing

They could run the race. There hands are not tied. They are not gonna run the race because they can't make AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY WOULD LIKE TO. That is totally different than making money in general.

Waldo- you are full of crap!
The place would be packed full of people for Nascrap trucks & Eldora’s first race of the year. Tony is not going to jeopardize his Ohio Alcohol License. Get real man!
