I appreciate the updates. I was planning on going but the weather was too iffy to drive that far. Kind of sad to see only 22 cars sign in. I hope that isn't the norm for the rest of the tour.

Too bad Marlar and Erb aren't running the whole summernationals, they have a legitimate shot at the title.

No kidding. Guess running $100k cars for $5,000 to win like they have been for 30 years doesn’t make much financial sense.

WildMan, read somewhere that maybe a reason Madden left Bloomy was due to the virus the pay-down has been reduced and that he wasn't making enough money. Did not see the total payout for last night's race but maybe that factored in to only 22 cars showing up.
But yea man, big disappointment that only 22 LM showed up for 5k to win. Pretty sure though there were over 30 mods. ............. Guess we'll know more tonight when they roll into Lincoln.
-
You read somewhere? Ok...
There was 29 mods.

They're at Peoria tonight. I was surprised that a lot of the Indiana guys didn't show up. (Casebolt, KRob, Chamberlain).

Wonder if the rain threat kept guys away. I plan on going tonight but watching the weather.

Ok NeedForSpeed, I'm either lying or slow in the head. I would say 90% chance of the latter and 0% chance of the former. Not gonna hunt and link every article to add to a conversation...... So unless you have lotsa time to burn skip over my posts.

No doubt the economic collapse will affect all aspects of racing. Still it just boggles my mind what they have in these operations compared to payouts. Looks like there will be less people willing to throw away $ when things get tight as expected. Just sucks
