At the halfway point, it’s a typical Florence thriller. Bad luck for Davenport, as Owens, JD and Rice were nearly three wide for the lead. Davenport is out, and Rice has damage. Owens has the luck factor on his side this year BIGTIME.

Wow! Owens breaks and hits the wall on the restart!

And JD brings his broken right front back out after Owens slams into the wall.
Trying to gain some points and race safely in the back is my guess.
That race between Owens, JD, and Rice was cooking up hot!
Would've loved to see them continue on with it.

Wow!! .002 of a second win by EPJ over Josh Rice according to the "transponders", but it looked like Rice had him at the line.
They are looking at video replay!

All the replays looked like Rice had him before the flag. I'd like to see the photo from the flash right before the flagstand.

I see no way possible that Rice didn’t win that race. But as an admitted Florence homer, I’m biased towards the Rice family. Bottom line, I love that track. They deliver thrillers time after time after time.

These smaller races are nice and all, but it's time to start seeing some Crown Jewel races happen!
