COVID-19 pushes the Atomic 100 weekend to 2021.
Unfortunately due to the pandemic that still lingers officials at Atomic Speedway have made the very tough decision to postpone the 2020 event which was pushed back already once this season and scheduled for July 24-25 on the High Banks of Atomic. “We have a great relationship with our local health department and want it to stay that way” track owners Chad Walters and Brad McCown said in making this very tough decision. Stating the crowds needed to pay the over $125,000 in purses and expenses for the weekend would have to exceed the limit allowed by the Ross County Health Department. In the meantime we will use this down time to do some lighting repairs and light pole switching along with getting started on the catch fence extension. We’ve pledged to make this one of the nicest and safest facilities in the country and we won’t stop working on that.
The staff of Atomic Speedway thanks everyone for following all social distancing during the events we’ve had in so far in 2020. Any we hope we can all come out of this pandemic stronger then ever. After the Open Wheel Wednesday Summer Series 410 Sprints plus Sport Mod show this July 15th we will be off until August 1st for Hall of Fame night. Everyone can keep up with all the Atomic news and updates on all Atomic Speedway social media outlets along with our website atomicspeedway.net
