    Default Show me 100 snoozefest

Top 5 stayed the same entire race, and only 1 caution flag.
    Very hard to pass tonight.
If you started upfront, that's pretty much where you stayed.

Great race. Great to see Looney, Thornton & Strickler running up front. Buckingham & Fergy Had great runs also. Owens. Davenport Eckert all moved forward, so to say there was no passing was incorrect.

That was not a Great race.... it wasn’t even an ok race.... great winner though.... but possibly one of the worst show me 100’s in history

Great race! Glad to see the underdogs up front. Thought Stovall would pull this off, congrats to Looney.

It was a decent race. Strickler made it moderately interesting the last 25 laps. Nice to see Looney win it, I was pulling for him the whole way.

My qualifications for a good race has nothing to do with underdogs winning.
I'm all for the unlikely suspect to win a big race.
However, this race was green the last 71 laps.
There was zero chance for anyone outside the top 3 to even have a chance at sniffing the win with the track conditions.
People like JD and Eckert (who yes they moved up 10 positions) had to work their a$$es off to do it.
Picking off an average of 1 car per 10 laps.
That was the exception, not the norm.
I knew by lap 60 who the top 3 were going to be.
With 40 still to go, that qualifies as a snoozefest, lol.

Good to see looney get a big win. Not real sure what it was but somthing threw all the regulars a curve ball. They all qualified terrible. Most moved forward in the feature but it was very little. I think only 2 regulars finished in the top ten

Congrats. You waited over 5 years to vent on that one. I'll have to say I agree.

It still is a big event. Have you been to Wheatland. IMO facility wise Wheatland and Knoxville are the two nicest dirt tracks in the country.

It's basically a Lucas show. No big start money. Nothing special. I don't care how fancy the seats and toilets are. They bought a name and pasted it to a race.

No he’s just speaking the truth... it was like 40k to win, 4k to start at West Plains. Lucas has ruined the event

I laugh every time someone says the Show Me 100 is a top 5 crown jewel today.

Yeah some races it just going to happen from time to time, especially with everything going on right now. I predict there will be a lot more underdogs winning this year with all this virus stuff.

Congrats to Looney, great he won.

That said, ANYONE saying the new Lucas Oil Speedway and the old West Plains Speedway compare at all in terms of Show Me 100 are VASTLY MISTAKEN.

The Gibsons made the event... period. The way they treated people was outstanding. $40K to win and $4K to start... not one track has come close to repeating what the Gibson's have done... not even Eldora.

And the racing at West Plains was outstanding as was the mix of drivers who would attend.

The Show Me 100 ended when it left the Gibson's hands and West Plains Motor Speedway. Lucas Oil Speedway can buy the rights all it wants... it has not been the same nor has the racing been as good. While I appreciate the facility Lucas Oil provides... until I see racing at LOS like what you experience at FALS, Cedar Lake, Macon, East Bay I will continue to attend events at these "run-down" facilities over LOS. I go to see dirt track racing for the quality on the track... the facility comes second.
