Billy Moyer never went by Junior. Some media people stuck that on him.

To be a junior, the dad and the son have to have the same middle name. Billy Moyer and his dad have different middle names. Therefore, he's not a junior. BJM does have the same middle name as Billy, so he is a Junior.

I got all of this from Joyce Moyer many years ago.

I call alot of my friends' kids Junior, they only share a last name. Easy to be confused in this case though I suppose.

This just get's more strange as you look into it. I have a collection of 1992 dirt racing cards and guess what, one is Billy Moyer.

    Here is the stange part.
On the front of the Card it has Billy's #21 yellow and red.
The Name on the front of the card is Billy Moyers, Jr.
I kid u not, that is the name every letter on the front of the card. On the back it say's 33 years old from Batesville, ARK.
    Years racing 11.
1991 Sponsors: Morris and son Truck Sales,Watters Autoland, Car City, Mays Oil, Chassis by Larry Shaw Race Cars, Engine by Shaver, Tires by Hoosier.

And get this. In the Same 1992 addition of cards they have the exact same car with Billy kneeling next to it. On the front of this card it say's Billy Moyer...............Different card in deck...same driver............different name.........Exact same info on back of the card because it is the same guy... And then u wonder why people question? lol

Several different names, several different retirements needed. It all makes sense now.

If you are talking about retiring from dirt racing then it dosen't exist. Basically you just quit coming. Compensation is involved in retirement so it never happened anyway.
