[b[Tazewell Speedway hosts Southern Nationals finale Saturday, July 25[/b]

Tazewell, Tennessee – Tazewell Speedway hosts the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals finale presented by Ray Varner Ford on Saturday, July 25. Racers will compete for the $10,053 first place prize while series regulars battle for the series championship.

Brandon Overton looks to repeat as the series champion. Overton has been battling 5-time series champion Chris Madden for the points lead during the 12-race in 16 days mini-series. Ross Bailes, Donald McIntosh, Pearson Lee Williams, Tyler Millwood, Tyler Millwood, and Jake Knowles are other series competitors expected at Tazewell Speedway.

Other expected drivers include David Payne, Vic Hill, Ryan King, Jeff Wolfenbarger, Dakotah Knuckles, Brian Smith, and more.

Also racing on Saturday will be sportsman for $1,000 to win, classic cars for $500 to win, and street stocks for $500 to win.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 12 and under are $30. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:00, Racing will start at 7:30.

Fans are welcome to bring in lawn chairs for the turn 4 hillside seating areas. Fans are asked not to use lawn chairs in the grandstand area due to the size of the crowd expected for this event.

There will be no personal ATV vehicles allowed in the pit area which includes 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and golf carts. No personal vehicles allowed in the pits except for those going to handicap parking.

Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
