Drake Troutman Sweeps Late Model Action at Cumberland
Modified and Late Model Events on Deck this Weekend

HYNDMAN, Pa. (07/23/20) – Drake Troutman notched his sixth win of the season on Saturday night at The Greater Cumberland Raceway in Cumberland, Maryland.

Troutman swept the night’s Super Late Model competition in his Smith Transport No. 7 Shaffer Construction/ Rocket Chassis Late Model.

“It was another great weekend of racing for our team. Our Rocket Chassis was bad fast on Saturday night,” said Troutman. “It was an awesome track surface at Cumberland Raceway, hats off to them. Thank you to all my crew, sponsors, fans, and everyone who supports this amazing team.”

Drake Troutman was in action on Friday night at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway powering his RFI Resources Inc. No. 7 Modified. Outrunning Mike Altobelli Jr. in his heat race, Troutman locked into the sixth-starting position for the A-Main. Blasting into the lead on the fourth lap, Drake was running out front comfortably until a flat right-rear tire brought an immediate end to his night.

The following night at The Greater Cumberland Raceway, Drake secured his spot into the main event with a heat race win. After running side-by-side with the leader for first three circuits, Troutman took control of the lead on the sixth lap and went on to pick up his sixth win of the season over Chuck Clise, Travis Stickley, Matt Cosner, and Kirk Baker.

Troutman returned to the seat of his Modified on Sunday at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa. Drake scored a runner-up finish in his heat, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the A-Main. Clawing forward two spots, Drake notched a second place finish behind Mitch Thomas.
