    Default Racing in Ohio Closing

Was supposed to work Indy car weekend next weekend at Mid Ohio. Was informed 45 mins ago state issued a new ruling canceling weekend. Also heard state may go to essential businesses only.

Move it all south. Just heard that John Force has shutdown his NHRA teams for the season.

Dewine is the very definition of a RINO. This is his big shutdown until the election that everybody was expecting. There's no other reason to do it. Expect other Dem and RINO governors to do the same.

Some tracks in my area have went along with the guidelines to stay open. I haven't seen anything other than rain cancelling races this weekend.

You would think they could social distance while drag racing

Force claimed reasons more so than just racing, such as the inability (due to the virus) to interact heavily with fans and sponsors during the events, which is one thing that NHRA has really gotten good at over the years. When the nascar guys aren't driving, they are usually hiding in the motorhomes (I'm talking pre-corona even). Most of the time, between rounds NHRA drivers are right there by their car signing autographs for fans or schmoozing the sponsors in the tent across from the car. It's a nice setup the way they have it. Force is a showman, and a 70 yr old one at that, so that probably played a bit into the decision as well.

I think John Forces sponsors were't willing to dish out money if there was no fan involvement. Let's face it, NHRA TV ratings are TRASH, but they do a phenomenal job of including the fans in person.

If all racing ends up shutdown in Ohio, what are the odds the DTWC gets moved? Any ideas of where it would go ?

DeWine just tested positive so not sure that’s great news for policies moving forward.

    Default His policies aren't working

Or he wouldn't have come down with it.....right?

Unless he just wasn't following his own policies as they are only for the minions beneath him......and the republican base that don't agree with him.
