ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Dannon LaCoste of Theriot, LA used Double Features on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, LA to move into the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock point lead. LaCoste finished fourth in the Week 5 Make-Up Race and then took second in the Week 9 Race driving the Wilson’s Oysters Special.

LaCoste has 423 points and holds a 29-point lead over Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS. Kilgore drove the Lee’s Body Shop Special to his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS to bring his point total to 394 points.

The 2018 Street Stock Weekly Racing Series National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS picked up his sixth win of the season on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS in the Tri State Rock and Rails Special powered by an economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine.

Idom went to Pike County Speedway on Saturday night and picked up his seventh win of the season in the Week 5 Make-Up Race and moved up to third in the Street Stock National standings with 392 points.

Landen Jackson of Norco, LA is fourth in the Street Stock National standings with 390 points and J.R. Brown of Calera, AL is fifth with 383 points. Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is sixth with 382 points and Noel Bailey of Lacy Spring, AL is seventh with 374 points.

Michael Rodrigue of LaPlace, LA is eighth with 373 point and Jeremy Isbell of Vandiver, AL is ninth with 364 points. Caiden Jackson of Norco, LA rounds out the top ten of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock standings after Week 9 competition with 361 points.

In other Saturday night Newsome Raceway Parts Week 9 Street Stock action, Chris Bayhi of Milton, FL was the winner at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL driving the Roberson Underground Utilities Special with Chevrolet Performance 602 power. Sam Hughes took the victory at ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL.

Roger Flynn of Denham Springs, LA won the Week 9 Race at Pike County Speedway driving the Flynn Racing Special and Michael Santangelo of Harahan, LA was the winner at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Damon Crump drove the Crump Racing Special to the win at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC.

Week 9 Street Stock action at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS was rained out at Feature Race time on Saturday night. The Week 9 Race will be made up this Saturday night before the Week 10 races. All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL and Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, SC did not report their Week 9 Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock results.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.
