ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There are six races on the Week 10 schedule of events for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division. A list of the Week 10 events is listed below.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count their best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

With just a couple of weeks until drivers start getting to the 11 Week mark of their respective seasons, the Series like to use a driver’s Weekly Point Average (WPA) to see who’s hot and who’s not in the Top 20 of the point standings. A driver may be high in the point standings just because they have competed in more weeks than another driver.

The top two drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman National point standings are also the top two drivers on the WPA list. Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL leads the National standings with 447 points, and leads the WPA List at 49.67 out of a possible 50. Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is second with 434 points, and second on the WPA List at 48.22.

The defending Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL is third in the National standings with 425 points, and he is fifth on the WPA List at 47.22. Hiett, Johnston and Riddle all have nine weeks of competition.

Tracy Terrell is seventh in the Modified Sportsman National standings with 380 points after eight weeks of racing that puts him third on the WPA List at 47.50. Tim Staples of Pell City, AL is eighth in the National standings with 378 points after competing for eight weeks, and he is fourth on the WPA List at 47.25.
