ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 11 for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman will have a light three-race schedule of events on Saturday night highlighted by a $1,000-to-win race at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN. Week 11 could also be the final night that ten drivers in the Top 20 of the point standings can earn full points.

The other two races this Saturday night will be held at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL and at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Look for a full house of Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman title contenders at all three tracks in Week 11 competition.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count their best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL is the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman point leader with 494 points and he also has the highest Weekly Point Average (WPA) at 49.40 out of a possible 50. Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is 11 points behind Hiett in the second spot with 483 points, and the second highest WPA at 48.30. Both Hiett and Johnston have one more week to earn full points.

To find the driver with the third highest WPA in the Modified Sportsman Division going into Week 11 competition, one must scroll down to the 17th position where they will find Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN. Hickerson has 333 points and four more weeks to earn full points. Hickerson will be one to watch in the coming weeks, as he has a WPA of 47.57.

Drivers that are third through sixth in the Modified Sportsman National standings also have one more week to earn full points. The third-place driver is the defending Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL. Riddle has 471 points and the fourth highest WPA at 47.10.

Fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in the Modified Sportsman point standings are Jamie Gowers of Vincent, AL with 449 points, Ron Bailey of Harvest, AL with 444 points, and Paul Poe of Ragland, AL with 428 points, who all have one more week to earn full points.

Tracy Terrell is seventh in the Modified Sportsman National standings with 423 points and two more weeks to earn full points. Terrell also has the fifth highest WPA at 47.00. Tim Staples of Pell City, AL is eighth in the standings with 422 points and two more weeks to earn full points.

The ninth, tenth, and 11th-place drivers in the Modified Sportsman National standings all have one more week to earn full points. Blake Swann of Anniston, AL is tied with Staples for the eighth spot with 422 points, Josh Salisbury is tenth with 421 points and Jordan Phillips of Logan, AL is 11th with 394 points.
