Butterball $20,059 to win at Richmond, August 21 and 22

The 33rd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will pay $20,059 to win and $575 to start on August 21 and 22 at Richmond Raceway in Kentucky. ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series director and Richmond Raceway owner, Bill Lupinos, has announced that the race will go on with its originally stated purse.

The 33rd Annual Butterball will kick off with qualifying and heat races on Friday, August 21, with open practice for other divisions. Super Late Models will have the opportunity for practice if time allows before the track’s midnight curfew. B-Mains and the 59-lap feature will be held on Saturday, August 22. The ULTIMATE Chew-On This Jerky Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series will co-sanction the event. Drivers in the ULTIMATE Northeast Super Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Southeast Super Late Model Series will have the opportunity to replace their lowest finish of the year with their finish in the “Butterball”, as it is one of ULTIMATE’s bonus races.

Zack Dohm, by way of winning the 6th Annual Butch Shay Memorial at Richmond Raceway on August 3, is locked into the starting field. Last year, Tyler Carpenter took home the largest winning share in ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series history by winning the 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial.
