ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 11 saw Ryan King of Anniston, AL pick up his 11th Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL in the David King Automotive Special. The victory moved King to within two points of point leader Brett White of Kosciusko, MS.

The top four drivers in the Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman point standings have now reached the 11-week mark of their respective seasons and will now begin to try an net points by replacing the lowest weekly point total of their best 11 with a higher one.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

White has an 11-week total of 540 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. King has an 11-week total of 538 points, and he will be trying to net on a 40. Levi Aldridge of Double Springs, AL is third in the Late Model Sportsman standings with an 11-week total of 500 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Sherman Everett of Morris, AL is fourth in the National standings with an 11-week total of 494 points, and he will be trying to net on a 25.

J.C. Wilson of Milton, FL drove the Wilson Lumber Special to his fifth win of the season on Saturday night at Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, AL. Wilson is fifth in the Late Model Sportsman standings with 486 points, and he still has one more week to earn full points. Heather Lowe of Warrior, AL is sixth in the standings with an 11-week total of 477 points, and she will be trying to net on a 41.

The seventh through tenth-place drivers in the top-ten of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman point standings still have one more week to earn full points.

Caleb Coan of Courtland, AL is seventh in the Late Model Sportsman standings with 467 points and Dale Lucas of McKenzie, AL is eighth with 460 points. Tony Chaney of Tuscumbia, AL is ninth with 454 points, while Ryan Wilson of Margaret, AL and Jarrett Miller of Eva, AL are tied for the tenth spot with 442 points.

Rex Berry of Huntingdon, TN took the win at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN driving the 22 Auto Salvage Rocket, and Colton Roberts was the winner at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN. Cruz Wallace of Tuscumbia, AL drove the Lawson Construction Special to the win at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.
