Rod Conley Lands on Podium in Hall of Fame Night at Atomic Speedway

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) invaded Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, August 22 for a special 'Hall of Fame Night' program. The unsanctioned show at the former K-C Raceway paid out a $4,000 winner's check. Rod Conley stopped the clock fourth fastest overall during the qualifying session before securing a victory in his heat race. After starting the 30-lapper from the outside of the front row, "Hot Rod" sported a fast racecar, led a couple of laps early in the contest, and wound up third at the checkers to land on the podium behind only race winner Steve Casebolt and runner-up Freddie Carpenter!

His brother R.J. Conley timed in third quickest in qualifying and also won his heat race, but problems while leading forced the Wheelersburg, Ohio ace out of the main event. While out front early in the race, contact with a lapped car caused heavy damage and relegated R.J. to a disappointing eighteenth place showing. Complete results from the 'Hall of Fame Night' at Atomic can be viewed online at www.atomicspeedway.net.

The Conley brothers will return to Atomic Speedway this Saturday night, August 29, as the 12th Annual ‘Dan Reno Memorial’ will be held at the Alma, Ohio oval. A $3,022 top prize will be up for grabs, along with a myriad of other bonuses and awards. Delmas Conley, the patriarch of the racing Conley family, will return to action as well on Saturday, but at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. A weekly program will be held for the Super Late Models at PRP and a $2,000 payday will be on the line.
