ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Just two races are on the Week 13 schedule of events for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division. Camden Speedway in Camden, TN and a $1,000-to-win race at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN make up the Week 13 action.

However, as we preview the Week 13 schedule, Hurricane Laura and her remnants are going to affect each Modified Sportsman Week 13 event. Fans and competitors are urged to monitor the tracks websites and Social Media outlets for updates in the days ahead prior to each event.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count their best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

The Top 10 drivers in the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division point standings have reached the 11-week mark of their respective seasons. Drivers in the top ten will now try to improve their point total by replacing the lowest weekly total in their best 11 with a higher one.

Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL leads the Newsome Raceway Parts Modified Sportsman standings with a best 11-week total of 544 points, and he will be trying to net on a 47. Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is second with a best 11-week total of 534 points, and he will be trying to net on a 47.

The defending Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL is third in the standings with a best 11-week total of 530 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Tim Staples of Pell City, AL is fourth with a best 11-week total of 512 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Tracy Terrell is fifth in the Modified Sportsman National standings with a best 11-week total of 509 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Jamie Gowers of Vincent, AL is sixth with a best 11-week total of 505 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Ron Bailey of Harvest, AL is seventh with a best 11-week total of 485 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Russellville, AL drivers Darren Jewell and Cody Howard are tied for eighth with a best 11-week total of 479 points for each driver. Jewell will be trying to net on a 41 and Howard will be trying to net on a 25. Paul Poe of Ragland, AL rounds out the top ten of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman standings with a best 11-week total of 471 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.
