They qualified last night at 11:30 and ran the heats between 12:15 and 1:00am. I was hoping they’d speed it up tonight, but they just started the feature at 12:50am. We’ve seen some really good racing at Cochran, but we’ve gotten too old to be heading home at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. It’s not worth the risk. The problem is always the same — a ton of down time. They started the show 6 hours ago and there’s been maybe an hour of actual racing all night.

Last feature ended at 3:00am, according to a friend who was there. Started at 7:00pm, no weather issues, etc. Keep in mind, all qualifying and heat races were ran the night before. Last night was only three CRUSA B-mains, a CRUSA last chance race, and features for all classes.

However ... Cochran had its biggest crowd ever. It was packed. Same way, or close, every time we’ve been there. Same with every big show we attend anywhere. Based on photos and comments, every big race everywhere this weekend was packed. DLM racing has issues, but fan support isn’t one of them. We are starved for racing.

Another long drawn out race program from Cochran......been that way for at least 10 years now!

Other than that, it was pretty cool to see Bronson start on the tail in a bmain and drive up to 2nd to make the show. And then start 17th and end up 4th in the main!

Good clean race for Page but that last caution killed the momentum of Will. It was fixing to get interesting! But congrats to him and Page!
