ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS padded his 2020 point lead with a pair of wins on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS driving the Billy Riels Racing Special.

Lee netted on a 44 with a Week 8 Make-Up Race win, and then netted on another 44 by winning his second race of the night in the Week 14 race. Lee gained a total of 12 points to bring his best 11-week total to 548 points after his ninth and tenth win of the 2020 season. Lee is just two points away from a Perfect Season of 550 points, as all he has left to net on are a pair of 49s.

Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN is second in the Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Late Model standings with a best 11-week total of 535 points. Skinner was unable to net on a 46 in Week 14 competition. Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL and Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS are tied for the third spot, as each driver has a best 11-week total of 527 points.

Mitchell did not compete in Week 14 action, but Idom finished fourth on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway to net on a 45 and gain two points. Tootie Arnold of Meadeville, MS is fifth in the Late Model National Weekly standings with a best 11-week total of 522 points. Arnold was unable to net on a 45 in Week 14 competition.

Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN used his last week to earn full points to turn in a third-place finish on Sunday night at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN and move up to the sixth spot in the National standings with an 11-week total of 521 points.

Mike Combs of Odenville, AL drove the Legacy Environmental Process Rocket to his third win of the season on Sunday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL to net on a 41 and gain nine points. Combs is seventh in the National standings with a best 11-week total of 520 points.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS and Seth McCormack of Muscle Shoals, AL are tied for the eighth spot in the Weekly Late Model National standing, as each driver has a best 11-week total of 519 points. Scarbrough gained seven points after netting on a 39 after a fifth-place finish on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.

McCormack drove the McCormack Marine Rocket to his second win of the season on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL to gain nine points after netting on a 41. D.G. Hawkins of Chunchula, AL took his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, AL in the United States Marine Corps Special. Hawkins used his last week to earn full points to move up to tenth in the standings with an 11-week total of 512 points.

Ryan Colby of Chatham, MS was the winner on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS driving the Washington Auto Body and Paint Special. Christian Hanger of Winchester, TN drove the Hanger Hardwood Rocket to the win on Sunday night at Duck River Raceway Park, and Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL was the Sunday night winner at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the Bud Coley Trucking Special.
