Default Why did Josh Richards spin the wheel?

Tim McCreadie was the highest in points! He should get to respin it

I assume everybody just thought with josh finishing 1st & 2nd he would be the top guy. Rules are rules and tmac should 100% get to respin it

A bit confused. How can Timmy, with a 4th and 6th place finish have more points than Josh with a 1st and 2nd place finish? I believe Josh also won his heat both nights. Was it qualifying?

I’m confused as well, you would think Josh would be leading in points, he’s been up front in every race. Too much emphasis on qualifying I’m going to assume.

They should take that wheel and shove it where the sun don't shine.

McCreadie got 35 qualifying points last night. Richards got none. That’s why TMac has more overall points — by one point. It’s ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as today’s invert. It should never be more than a 4, when the heat races are only 10 laps, IMO.

As a fan I love inverts. But this system doesn’t make any sense. Somebody needs to go Facebook live or start even earlier on Flo to explain.

How can Richards get zero qualifying points? I don’t get this mess at all.

Tonight will be the best racing all weekend due to the inverts. If you don’t like inverts if you’re just a fan I don’t get it. Now if you have skin in the game I wouldn’t like em either.

Isn't it the same format every year for both Dream and World?

Seems like the points is so guys aren't sandbagging.

"Every lap matters" is what Eldora says.

The point system was setup to keep guys from sandbagging and then they invert 5 cars. What a complete waste of two nights.

FWIW, I think the heats are 15 laps tonight. I wish the feature was 100 laps.

I'm generally a fan of the invert, but the track's gotta be racy and there has to be enough laps for the cream to rise back to the top. For the racing we've seen so far, that 5 invert is going to make things difficult for those who have performed the best. But, there was only one 5 on the wheel so it was an unlikely scenario.

Slack should explain why no points issued to Richards for time trials Friday.

Thank you. I’m old school, so it just feels like they should always run 20-lap heats at Eldora. No doubt, 15 is better than 10, and like you, I’m generally an invert fan for the most part, but I still feel like a 5 invert is too much — especially when using this weird point system. You get 35 points for qualifying 10th, but no points for qualifying 11th. That’s just crazy. Then the four most dominant cars after two nights of racing against each other, get stuck back in 5th in their heats.
