    Default Davenport?

What happened to this team? I know the lucas series, or any 10k plus race these days has a ton of competition, and not easy wins, but this guy was a front runner, and a threat for a win just about anywhere the past few years. I know he lost a lot with Rumley, and maybe that’s it, but just seems to not drive as hard as he used to.

yeah hes lost some speed, team has fallen behind. hes still a threat to win anywhere but maybe the team has run its coarse. Jarred Landers probably coming back to racing full time will be all she wrote for JD and Landers. if he does leave the team not sure where he will end up.

I thought the same with Landers in that ride last few big shows. Landers will drive it hard for sure, and he’s a wheel man. I’ve enjoyed and still do enjoy watching Davenport do well. Hopefully they can figure it out, and add a lil more suspense to the Lucas series next season. That’s is a tough series to win any race. So many heavy hitters running it.

JD and team have been missing power all year.
Qualifying used to be their bread and butter.
    Not so much anymore.
Hard to believe an entire season came and went without that team figuring out how to tune the 49 car back to the front.
This is the worst season for JD the past several years in terms of consistency and total wins.
The offseason will be full of buzzing rumors in regards to this team and JD.

I don't think Rumley was with them last year full time(???) and they still won the Lucas championship.

This is correct...Rumley was with T-Mac.

I'm surprised jd hasn't switch to bilstein shocks yet

JD needs more than shocks, although I thought Ohlins were the Flavor of the Year

Not too long ago everyone was asking these same questions about the O-show. He seems to have rebounded pretty well.

I'm not saying penskes are the problem. I'm just saying all the guys he is working with are on bilsteins

Owens actually had more speed though, stupid stuff kept happening. 49s speed is gone.

Does any of this relate back to the big Crash at East bay (that JD had nothing to do with)(he got run over by accident)?

He's raced 10 different cars since then.

Just how the sport works, that’s why it’s so impressive the Bloomquist and Moyer have been able to sustain the success they have had for such a long duration

He has stated they just can’t find the feel he wants out of the car right now. They truly have built a few cars, brand new, and he just doesn’t like them.

I like JD a lot, but it’s something with him right now. When Landers, who hasn’t raced much in a few years, is two tenths quicker in qualifying(and in Group 2), and makes it through his heat, in one of your cars, probably one you don’t like, something just ain’t working with you.

What, I have no idea. Hopefully they get it squared away, maybe him and Landers can work together and get JD righted. Or the writing is on the wall, and Landers is going to take over. And JD and him remain best buds.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
