Dennis Erb Racing Ventures South to Whynot Motorsports Park for $15k Fall Classic

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) With the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series weekend at Kokomo (IN) Speedway and Federated Raceway (MO) at I-55 already wiped out due to a rainy forecast, Dennis Erb Racing will trek south to the Magnolia State on October 23-24 seeking better weather and the $15,000 top prize in the 26th Annual Coors Light ‘Fall Classic.’ Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi will play host to the unsanctioned special event this weekend and a strong field of competitors is expected for the two-day show. Qualifying and heat races are slated for later tonight, while a 100-lap main event will headline the weekend on Saturday evening at the track deemed as the “House of Hook.”

Dennis Erb, Jr. is a threat to win each time he pulls through the pit gate at Whynot, as he has finished inside of the top five in the ‘Fall Classic’ finale four of the past five years. He wound up fourth in last year’s contest, as he trailed only victor Ashton Winger, Tyler Erb, and Darrell Lanigan. Additional information on Whynot Motorsports Park can be located by clicking on www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

The #28 team was in action last weekend (October 16-17) in the Land of Lincoln, as the Lucas Oil MLRA Series wrapped up their tour with a pair of shows at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. On Friday night in the $5,000 to win weekend opener, Dennis improved to fourth in his heat race prior to winding up eighteenth in the final finishing order of the 30-lap sprint. At the St. Louis-area venue on Saturday evening, a $7,000 winner’s check was up for grabs in the MLRA finale. Dennis placed fifth in his loaded heat race and later won his B-Main before retiring early in the 40-lap headliner and settling for a twenty-fifth place showing.
