So it's possible to win $23,000 if you win the pole and lead all the laps? Is $3000 for fast time or the guy who wins a heat and starts on pole. Would be nice to see it explained clearly. I know explaining things clearly doesn't seem to happen at EAMS lately.

$3000 to get the pole, that is pretty stout. In two classes as well.

Ahhh, the 72 hours of Phenix City, aka the nation’s longest endurance race. As per usual, it looks like they could combine several of the classes and save wear and tear on the surface.
    We'll miss ya Doc Watson...

This race is notorious for running way late it's easy to see why I wouldn't sit thru it if they let me in free.

20 years ago, there wasn't a better place to see a good race. Pretty dusty for the first 10 laps or so, but good racing from start to finish. I'd have a two hour drive after the race and would be home by 10:15. Boy, has time changed things.

I dunno man, I didn’t see lawnmowers, UTV’s, or go karts.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

So it starts on the 5th and runs straight through to the 8th non stop right? This is one of those wait for the replays on DoD shows. Everything and everyone down there moves so slow it makes me think there's a heavy concentration of carbon monoxide in the area.

Free general admission? Why not ? 11 classes, do they charge entry fee's for the cars ? Does each team bring multiple crew guys ? Usually. Make sure the concession stand is stocked for the folks sitting there for 6 hrs. They take the term money grab to the next level. Bad as screven.

I assure you not everyone moves that slow around here. I live 5 miles from the track and didn't even slow down when I drove past it on saturdays this season to go to Senoia, Cochran or wherever else we raced this year. It is a shame how far the place has fallen since I first started racing there in 1989.

Give me LM, 604's, Mods and Street Stocks and I'd be good.

I’ve been to Screven a bunch of times over the last seven years. There is absolutely nothing about Screven that reminds me in any way of EAMS.
