Wythe Raceway to Host Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series Halloween Spooktacular

(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) With three races officially in the books for the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series in 2020, round four is scheduled to take place this Saturday night, October 31 at the picturesque Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia! A special Halloween Night Spooktacular will be held at the 1/2-mile speedplant and a $10,000 payday will be up for grabs for the ground-pounding Super Late Models. Joining the Fall Nationals tour on the card at Wythe Raceway on Saturday will be the Wythe Eye Pro Modifieds, Coake Electric Super Streets, UCAR, and Pro Mini divisions.

This event will mark the first time the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series has visited Wythe Raceway, but its sister series – the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series – has sanctioned a show at the Virginia oval in each year since 2006. Winners include: Dennis Franklin ('06), Chris Madden ('07 & '08), Vic Hill ('09), Mother Nature ('10), Austin Dillon ('11), Vic Hill ('12), Chris Madden ('13), Jonathan Davenport ('14), Billy Ogle, Jr. ('15), Dale McDowell ('16), Vic Hill ('17), Dale McDowell ('18), and Brandon Overton ('19 & '20).

Pit gates for the Halloween Night special will open at 3:00pm, while the grandstands will allow patrons into the facility starting at 4:00pm. The Driver’s Meeting will get underway at 5:00pm, while hot laps are slated for 5:30pm with heats and racing action to soon follow. Adult general admission tickets will be sold for $30.00 at the gate, while pit passes will be $40.00 each. Seniors and military will be allowed into the stands for a discounted rate of $26.00, while youth ages 7-12 will be admitted into the stands for only $10.00 and kids under the age of six are always FREE. If you can’t make it to Wythe Raceway on Saturday, all of the dirt-slinging action will be broadcast LIVE on www.FloRacing.com!

Through three series races so far in 2020, it is a tight battle atop of the point standings for the second year miniseries. Vic Hill, of Mosheim, Tennessee, leads the chase by only four markers over both David Payne and Donald McIntosh. Joey Standridge and Stacy Boles round out the top five in the current series point standings. Winners this year on the tour include Mike Marlar (Smoky Mountain Speedway), Donald McIntosh (Tazewell Speedway), and Brandon Overton (Tri-County Race Track).

The tire rule for the Halloween Night Spooktacular at Wythe Raceway will be Hoosier 1350 and 1600; American Racer 48 and 56. The entry fee will be $100.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
