Cornell Notches Runner-Up Finish in Springfield’s Turkey Bowl XIV

WILLARD, Mo. (12/01/20) – Kaeden Cornell made the most of his final start of the 2020 season on Saturday night.

Cornell piloted his Hoover Motorsports No. 50 Cloverleaf Auto Repair/ Choate Farms/ Rocket Chassis/ Hatfield Racing Engine Late Model to a runner-up finish in the Turkey Bowl XIV at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway.

“We had a great car Saturday night. It’s been a tough year, but it’s great to end with a solid night of racing,” Cornell said. “Our team has worked hard this year; I can’t thank them enough for all they do. Also, thanks to our all of our great sponsors, fans, family, and friends for their continued support. I’m looking forward to the 2021 season.”

With 31 Late Models on hand, Cornell marched forward four spots in his heat race to pick up the victory. Receiving the eighth-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Kaeden passed six cars to place second behind Logan Martin. Cole Wells, Scott Crigler, and Travis Dennis rounded out the Top-5.
