Lurker, I don't know what you mean by factoring in all pre-existing conditions.
Looking at hospitalizations at the national level isn't very useful because the spikes in cases are very regional. One state may have overflowing hospitals while a neighboring state is dropping in cases. Small rural hospitals will overflow faster than the city hospitals and typically get less coverage.
Yesterday morning they had a doctor from a rural Scotland County hospital in Northeast Missouri in NPR who was saying they were having to keep patients at their hospital that would normally get sent to a larger tertiary hospital.

I guess that South Carolina death was the first for the state, because North Carolina says they had their first flu death in early October.

Wow......those numbers must be huge by now.
Any idea how many there have been nationwide in 2020? I haven't heard much about flu deaths this year.......like we normally do.

'19-'20 is estimated by the CDC at 22,000 deaths. Whereas the Covid deaths are estimated at over 280,000.

Weren't the whole scare tactics regarding Covid meant to beat Trump over the head and an excuse to not vote for him? Well, the election is over, Trump lost. Why keep up the hoax?

Same source says 61k deaths reported from flu in 2017, almost 40k in 2018 and now 22 in 19 season......wow....that's awesome that the death rate from flu is plummeting.
Seems strange with all the flu like symptoms everywhere, but I'm sure it's accurate.
