Ice bowl is a great name for the event but it's also a really good reason to dump the qualifying for every class. Then maybe people could get out within a reasonable time instead of sitting there frozen. Promotor gets his back gate and fans get back in there warm car.

20 years ago or more when I was working nights I might've gone to this event and pulled an all-nighter getting home.
Now I'm glad to be sitting home in the warm house watching! Very content.

At the Chatham,La HAT race on Easter weekend in '96,there was frost forming on our camera bag. We had to drive home in 2nd due to the shifter tearing up in my Dad's truck also. My feet about froze off.

Yeah,it was pretty good for a bit. This one and the Wild West race from last night are definitely the top two so far.

The X mods out in Az. Put on a better show than this garbage. Poor fans deserve a refund and a cup of hot joe.

Don't know if its the dirt or what but not too often do you see a good Super LM race at TST.

If you're referring to the initial start where Weaver got the jump, it's because of an error between race communications and most of the field. Director told them going down the backstretch that they were coming to one to go, get to the fire point and he's saying green, green, green. I'm just glad that no one got junked on that one.
