    Default 602 crate rebuild

ok so i finally sent my poor old tired 602 crate in to get rebuilt (imca). the engine is pre2007, never rebuilt never opened up. ok so im being told a story that the builder cant find piston rings that gm redesigned the pistons and rings. any truth to this?

I know their has been several revisions but from what I've seen is generally not very cost effective to rebuild those. Better off selling it as is and buying a new one

I heard last week the latest version 602's have more power due to something different with the heads? I'm hearing 15 to 20 more HP???

Thats 100% false, new engines are the same as the old engines. The 5 I dynoed this year are the same as my first engine I dynoed 10 years ago.
