Wonder why Hudson didn’t door RTJ to pass him for the lead when he got close for a few laps. I’d say Overton would’ve appreciated Hudson racing him clean like that in the heat race...

It was only a matter of time. Cream always rises to the top. Great run for the SSI Motorsports Team

I don’t have much of an opinion on Hudson yet - but the entire Double Down Motorsports Team owned by Roger Sellers are really “good down to earth” people. Roger is a self made man who is down to earth and extremely likeable. He is fairly new to round track racing. He was into drag cars before getting involved as a partner in Smoky Mountain Speedway. He now owns it entirely. His son in law Robby Moses races pretty much locally & cannot travel because of his job in Oak Ridge.
Hudson can/will get aggressive ( not like some of the other young guns)- but all in all very little sheet metal damage after 8 Lucas races.

Again, I am not making any judgements on Hudson at this point- just stating that his team owner & crew are great people. For what it worth: Tom Buckingham (Shannon’s dad) is with the team in Florida.

Hudson has been doing that and jumping starts pretty consistently. Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Seems like everyone under a certain age thinks they can get away with murder on the track.
