What is a rough guess on what it costs to build a 305?

ealier in the year. They had their motor just built and it cost them about 9500. That was a carb set up as well. I paid $6500 for my complete racesaver 305.

    You’re welcome.

From a fans point of view, the 305ci Sprint Car class (wing or non-wing) is generally good to palatable if combined 1) car counts are good, and 2) tracks are ¼ mile or less. On bigger tracks its just hit or miss. Exception would be some of the bigger tracks out Eastern PA where car counts are generally higher than here in the mid-West. Iowa is not bad either.

The Carolina Sprint tour put on some great races last year. I really enjoyed watching them and I tend to agree (they put on a great show at the smaller tracks).

They replaced the Belleville Midget Nationals at The Belleville High Banks with 305 wingers. I have some close friends that have attended the Belleville 305 Nationals every year since they dropped the midgets and they indicated that the 305's put on a pretty good show on The High Banks. Belleville is a big dirt track (almost 5/8's on the outside) and wicked fast.

Looks like you can build a car easily with a 25,000$ budget (not including truck/hauler). That’s less than I would have thought. I can see how this would be a great way to get into dirt racing (and maximum fun factor as well).
