Default Could Vaugn Gittin Jr run?

I’d like to see this guy try dirt late model. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KXGLSF3MuZw . I saw he just bought the big Ken Scrhader shop in Concord.

He would be a lot faster if he could figure out how to get more traction. LOL

He's ran open wheel mods before. Pretty sure I remember it being in the old DIRT magazine that used to come out.

I searched his name and on dirt. An article from speedhunters.com popped up from 2008. He drove a Corey Dripps usmts modified.

What's the big deal with that? We're regularly stuck behind a guy hung out like that at our local tracks. Oh, wait a sec, they usually only last a corner or two. Never mind. lol

IIRC, Ken Block ran a dirt late model at one of the last Prelude races, and it didn’t translate all that well.

Wasn't that Travis Pastrana? In the Red Bull 199? I'm having a hard time remembering Ken Block in the PttD.

I think they both ran the last year.

Ken Block in a DLM, yes, it didn’t translate too well. But he slid around a lot.

Travis Pastrana also did some asphalt Silver Crown racing (called PRA at that time) in 2006. I vividly remember the Lakeland Fl race at PRI time in December.

Ken block never ran that race. Pastrana and Carmichael did.

In the article in only states two times. One was basically a regular night show that he ran to get laps. And the next day they went to a big race in Wisconsin or Minnesota

Also. He fenced the car in the second round of hot laps per what the article says. Ended the night. The way he explains it in the article is pretty funny if you Google it.

This thread turned pretty good. I had forgot about Patrana and a few others running some dirt.

Yeah, no. Sure, he may be good at catching a car that got away from him, but its kinda the opposite approach required to actually being fast in a race car. Plenty of bad habits that'd need undoing.

More sliding = slower. I’d still like to see him try and maybe get some of his fans interesting in DLM racing

Never been a fan of anything that is left up to judges. I want to see a winner and a loser. Drifting is just strange to me. That's why I always preferred math compared to English or art, I like to be right or wrong without it being subjective.

I agree. Competition is dumb but drifting is fun to watch anyway. No winners that I can see with drift racing.
