SPRING CITY, TN – It is time to get the wheels a rollin’ for the 2021 racing season at Mountain View Raceway where you can “Get Your Thrill By The Hill” this Saturday with a Swap Meet and Open Practice Session. The Swap Meet will be in the Parking Lot behind the big American Flag on the back of the Main Grandstand beginning at 8 a.m.

The Pit Gate at Mountain View Raceway will open at 10 a.m. and the Open Practice will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Grandstand Admission is Free. The Pit Area Admission is $20 for those 12 and older, $10 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. Transponders will be available to rent for $5. RaceCeivers will be used and will be available at the track.

The Transponders electronically time and score a driver’s every lap, and printouts can be made available to each competitor. Lap times and running orders can also be monitored by competitors and fans in the stands with a Race Monitor and/or My Race Pass app. The RaceCeiver has proven to be a valuable tool at race tracks across the country.

With Mountain View Raceway being a fast high-banked Ľ-mile clay oval, a driver being alerted about trouble on the track over the RaceCeiver one-way tower-to-driver communication device can keep a driver out of a wreck and harm’s way. The RaceCeiver is also used to save time during the night of racing in lining cars up for a restart.

Saturday’s Open Practice will be the first of two at Mountain View Raceway before the Season Opener on Saturday, March 27. The second Open Practice will be held on Saturday, March 13 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The eight Mountain View Raceway Weekly Racing Divisions will be Late Models, Sportsman, B Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modifieds, B Hobby, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drives, and Dwarfs. Rules and Weekly Purses for each Division are available on the track web site at www.mountainviewraceway.com.

Competitors may also pick up a Mountain View Raceway 2021 Driver/Car Owner Information Form at the Pit Gate on Saturday. This must be filled out so drivers and car owners can receive important information during the 2021 racing season, and it will also give the Announcer information on drivers and their sponsors.
