    Default IMCA Modified Ball Joints

Can anyone clarify the IMCA ball joint rules for Modifieds? It states OEM/OEM rebuildable ball joints approved but no screw in type lowers.......Does this mean Adjustable ball joints are not allowed? or only the screw in type base is not allowed?

Rebuildable/adjustable ball joints are legal a long as they have a steel cap. So QA1, Howe, Speedway, CRS, Lefthander and the such are all legal. Monoball type are not.

No screw-in lower ball joints means you cannot weld a screw-in ball joint sleeve into the lower a-arm and then use a screw-in ball joint. The ball joint MUST be welded into the lower a-arm.

To add to what TS3g said, there is no rule on the length of the stud either. You can run any length on either side to get your geometry where you want it
Bill W. and Dr. Bob......who could have known.
