40k to win, $1,200 to start. When this race was announced it was a 20k to win show. So the winners purse has doubled, but start money hasnt increased a single penny. Will it draw a couple more cars, probably. Will it draw as many cars as it would if that 20k had been spread thru the field, no. Does the quality of racing cherokee speedway has put on the last 2 years help this show, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Track looks good. Will this turn into a 2 lane race or be the regular train race. https://twitter.com/rick_eshelman/st...975965709?s=19

The place starts out well but for whatever reason goes downhill as the racing goes on. They need to change things up as far as track prep. What there doing isn't working and it's showed. You may get the one or 2 guys that advance a bunch of spots but your top 10 only race like heck on restarts. If your on the outside row your in trouble.

The track is significantly altered since the SAS race. The first turn outside wall had been moved back a good distance. It looks like some banking was taken out of the bottom. First and second turns are 35 feet wider than they were two years ago. Of course this might not translate into any change in the racing. Gotta give them credit for trying!

Why not just split the purse evenly and give the same amount to all entered?
That’s how we’re doing things these days.
