    Default clamped up front shock

I under stand many chassis builders are taking front shock off the birdcage and clamping it solid...is this true and what are the benefits???

The front of the cage travels more than the axle, because of indexing. Eliminate indexing, and you can hike it higher.

Clamed LR front gives huge amount of LR drive, but only during axle wrap up.. great on starts/restarts, could see it making a car tight-on-throttle if the corner speed gets very slow.
I always thought tuning with 5th coil rate/load could help prolong the wrap-up/traction, haven't tried it yet.

When position the clamp bracket on the axle tube, pay attention to shock travel at ride height and droop - pretty sure you don't want the shock to be nearly topped out at droop, because if you get on the brakes hard the LR shock could pull the LR down.
