Tri State Pro Stock Challenge at Placerville

The touring Pro Stock group will have their first race at the sticky red clay quarter mile in Placerville, CA this Saturday.
Most of the teams expected to show up have never been there so it should be interesting. Will it be an advantage for the few of us who do have considerable experience there? We'll find out. We have only been there a few times in the last couple of decades as we haven't a car that was legal for their regular classes and we've missed the joint. It's less than an hour from our home so it will be nice to not have our usual 2-4 hour tow.
Several of the travelers have been picking our brains as to gearing, tires etc. and these guys are all used to running on unfamiliar tracks and adapt pretty quickly. The tight banked bowl in a hole keeps your attention.
Also on the program are the Limited Late Models, the very racey Pure Stocks and Mini Trucks. It's a very rare night without the Sprint Cars and the very loyal fan base at Hangtown is in for something different. Hope they enjoy it as much as we plan to.
