Dennis Erb, Jr. Back on the WOOLMS Tour this Weekend at Richmond and Brushcreek

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing trekked west to the Hawkeye State from April 15-17 to compete in a trio of Lucas Oil MLRA Series special events. On Thursday night on the 1/4-mile at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa, Dennis Erb, Jr. laid down the fourteenth quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior to finishing seventh in his stacked heat race. After nabbing the third transfer spot through his B-Main, Dennis was able to drive past eleven competitors in 40 circuits during the $5,000 to win main event to claim a solid tenth place performance.

The action then quickly shifted to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa for a pair of shows over the weekend. On Friday evening in another $5,000 to win battle, Dennis placed fifth in his heat race prior to winning his B-Main. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout had then blasted up inside of the top ten and was looking for more, but was caught up in a lap 27 tangle and relegated to a disappointing twenty-second place showing. In the annual running of the 'Slocum 50' on Saturday at Burlington, which carried a $10,555 top prize,' Dennis unfortunately failed to transfer into the 50-lap headliner after finishing ninth in his heat race and twelfth in his B-Main. The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series schedule heats back up this weekend and the #28 team will follow the national tour to the states of Kentucky and Ohio for a pair of $10,000 to win throwdowns. Up first will be a visit to Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky later tonight, while the doubleheader will wrap up on Saturday evening, April 24 at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio. Dennis comes into tonight’s race at Richmond seventh in the latest version of the heated WOOLMS point standings.
