Please keep Dave Darland in your prayers. Dave suffered a mild stroke on his way to Bloomington and is in the hospital in Indianapolis.

Have had numerous interactions with DD and in addition to being one of the most gracious and most humble drivers we've ever come in contact with he's one of the great midget, wingless sprint and USAC Silver Crown drivers of all time.

After Dave’s spill a few years ago ringing his bell, and now this, I’m afraid to type any further. Nonetheless, I have great memories with Dave, Brenda, and Trent. Trent and Brian Clauson racing at Miami Co speedway --- too fun.

Monday Update:
First and Foremost!! Dave's stroke was NOT related to Covid!!
Just spoke with Dave's Internal Medicine Dr, Cardiologist, and Neurologist. Dave is about the same with a little improvement. Every improvement is a success!
The good news is we are going home later today!!
He will continue with some speech therapy to help with his memory but other then that he is healthy and good to go.
All of his doctors are expecting a full recovery!! Amen!!
At this time we are very limited to visitors. Its still confusing to him with a lot of commotion and phone talk.

Sounds like Dave is doing well. Hope he can strap into a wingless 410 and mix it up again very soon!!

Tuesdays update:
We are home and settled in!! He is doing great so far and we will continue therapy for speech and memory. He is looking forward to spending the day with his grand daughter Marcela. Thank you all for the texts, calls, and prayers they are all greatly appreciated!
