Default 35th Annual "Ralph Latham" Memorial

I haven't seen any activity on this BIG event

    Who's coming ?

    Drivers ?

    Fans ?

This will be my 35th Latham, and it has only got better and better every year and this year will be NO exception

Also the American Modified Series will be sanctioning the Modified portion of this event with a $1,500 to Win purse, with a $1,000 bonus if the same driver wins both MRP (Friday) and Florence (Saturday)

Bring it on 4m, lets hear Ya

We’ll be coming up from South Georgia, for another trip to my home track. Can’t wait!

Probably because it gets rained out every year it seems and is rescheduled during North/South?

This race hasn't been run on it's original weekend since 2017. HOWEVER, (knock on wood), the forecast looks really good for Saturday. Sunshine and a high of 70, low of 51 at night. 0% CHANCE OF RAIN!

It used to be held on the weekend before the dream. Not sure why they moved it. They last I knew, the Latham family didn't know why they moved it. I dont think it was on the race track either. Either way, it's one of my favorite races of the year.

One reason I can think of is to draw more cars and people. Having that race so close to the dream had some drivers opting to stay home and get their stuff ready for the Big E. In my opinion it also attracts more people not being so close to Eldora week. Just a thought

    A little Latham trivia...

Who has most Latham Starts ?

Who has the most Wins ?

How many Sanctioning bodies have sanctioned the Latham since 1987 ?

    can you name them ?

Who has the best average finish (3.400) with at least 5 starts ?

Counting Mother Nature in 2013 how many different Winners have there been ?
(BTW, no looking at race t's for the answer)

Who has the current consecutive start streak (not counting 2013) ?
how many races in a row does this driver have (not counting 2013) ?

Last year 4 drivers made their first ever Latham start (Ferguson, Billy Green, Tanner English, Tyler Bruening)
who will be the next drivers to make their Latham debut in 2021 ?

I see Nick every couple of weeks at the carpet outlet in Winchester, OH. He said he just didn't enjoy it anymore. Plus I think the costs were out of control.

It's just your typical $15k Saturday Lucas race, so it's not a huge deal. I selfishly always hope that it gets rained out so the N/S weekend gets a day longer, which it normally does. But it looks like this year N/S weekend is going to feel short since it's going to be nice Saturday.

Gimme a break. They start lists for about every race that pays $3000 or more. I’m curious to know who might show other than the usual suspects

My last 3 Saturdays have been washouts... (Florence did run wth rain around other day) This Saturday looks promising...got a bunch of rain today, hope track stays together. Ain't Clarksville, TN running @ 10K race Saturday? nobody else around area running SLMs..expect 35-40 cars... Jimmy Owens been up and down this Yr, he usually runs pretty good @ Florence, plus there running AMS mods...should Be a good nite racing!!
